whatsmyip.li is built to be private by default.

• No accounts, no tracking. There are no analytics cookies and no third-party trackers.
• We don’t store your IP. Your address is used to render the page and is not written to a database. Geolocation lookups are cached briefly, by IP, purely to avoid hammering the upstream provider — and expire automatically.
• Geolocation provider. To map an address to a location we query a third-party IP-geolocation API. Only the IP address being looked up is sent — never your browser details.
• Maps. The map tiles are served by OpenStreetMap; loading them shares the map’s coordinates (not your identity) with their servers.
• Server logs. Standard web-server logs may briefly record requests for security and are rotated automatically.

Questions? This is a simple utility site — there’s no data to request or delete, because we don’t keep any.
